Customizing Labels
Adding Objects
Customize your label content by adding the following objects:
Many label templates have at least one text box to start with. You can add additional text boxes to place text where you want it.
- Tap and tap .
- To edit the existing text, tap the text box and tap Replace text.
- To change the text properties, tap the text box.
You can add an address from your contacts:
- From the label edit screen, tap and tap .
- Select an address from your Contacts or tap Cancel and replace the text in the address object. You can also double-tap to edit the existing text.
- To change the address properties, tap the address object.
Add an image to your label from the photo library on your device or by taking a photo with the camera.
If you want to add an image before the text or in place of the text, tap Done to remove the empty default text box.
- To add an image, tap and tap .
- To change an image, tap the image and tap Replace.
- To change the image properties, tap the image on the label.
You can add the following barcode types:

- Tap and tap .
- To change the barcode type and settings, tap the barcode on the label.
You can add a QR Code to your label.
- Tap and tap . Select the QR Code type and enter the data.
- To change the QR Code type and settings, tap the QR Code on the label.
Choose from several shapes to add to your label.
- Tap and tap . Tap the shape you wish to add to the label.
- To change the shape properties, tap the shape on the label.
Add lines to your label.
- Tap and tap . Tap the line style you wish to add to the label.
- To change the line properties, tap the line on the label.
Add the date and or time to your label.
- Tap and tap .
- To change the date and time setting, format, or layout, tap and then tap the date/time on the label.
Default object properties can be set from the DYMO Connect menu.
Editing Objects
Editing the Label
Change the orientation of your label from horizontal to vertical. Set the orientation before adding content to the label. If you attempt to change the orientation after adding content, all content will be removed.
- On the Home screen, tap Create label.
- On the Edit label screen, tap or next to Orientation.
Add a border around the whole label.
- On the Edit Label screen, tap the Show border switch and set the border properties.
